Thistle

Thistle was created with india inks for a grasscloth design. I thought it would be beautiful to have a pattern that showed the watery gradations of the inks in the simple pattern. The repeat shows the thistle large and upright then smaller and turned upside down. I think the play on scale and direction makes it the perfect design for designers looking for a subtle beautiful texture on walls, ceilings or in little nooks.
