Shelby

Shelby is our version of Chinoiserie birds and foliage. This design comes directly from a painting I did inspired by J. Audubon. The background of the original painting was too difficult to put into repeat so I created a strié/faux bois background that was featured in the three designs of this collection, Alex, Fiddle Leaf Fig, and Shelby. I really think it is the texture of the strié that makes this bird and foliage design come together. Even though the scale of the repeat is quite large it has a very soft, delicate feel.
